One of the major important facts I learned in chapter 11 was that we can connect and communication with so many different audiences through the media. The media holds a unique force that can bring many people together and can hold a great foundation for cultivating many different worldviews and cultures. This helps preserve the many different backgrounds there are in our community and being able to reach out to each one of them through mass communication. I have learned that the ability to engage in everyone's different backgrounds, is an amazing way of increasing one's perspective on communication options and being more informed about it. I have been able step outside my box and encounter in different ways that I normally would not have done, if it weren't for this chapter breaking down the important factors. Magazines, radio, television, etc are all ways for our society to communication abundantly with its viewers and draw in their insights for the rest of the community or culture to be aware of. I have realized throughout time that focusing on these options have been a great way to expand my ways of communicating with others and knowing what society uses to be connected with their audience.
